Stones River National Battlefield

It's awe-inspiring to walk the paths in the almost silent woods on a hot summers' day and feel the cool of the breeze as it winds it's way thru the trees; to hear the wind blowing thru the tree tops- sighing as if the effort were great.  If you listen hard enough, you can almost make out the clinking of the artillery as it is positioned for the fight, the call of the troops back and forth to make ready for battle, the darting of shadows from between the trees... it's all there... all you have to do is look and listen.
